Trinity College

Since our program’s relaunch in 2014, Capitol Squash has been based at Trinity College. Both academic and squash sessions take place in Trinity’s Ferris Athletic Center.

Trinity students volunteer with both tutoring and squash sessions. The second oldest college in Connecticut also boasts the country’s strongest squash program, with its women’s and men’s teams winning a combined 22 national team championships since 1999. Trinity’s men’s team holds the longest winning streak in the history of college athletics.

partner schools

Capitol Squash relies on its close relationships with school partners. We primarily recruit students from Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy, Grace Academy, and E. B. Kennelly School. We work closely with the teachers and administrators at HMTCA, Grace, and Kennelly to stay informed of our students’ academic development.

As students move to different schools, we continue to offer them the same support. Our students now attend 8 different public, magnet, parochial, and private schools in the Hartford area.

celebrating successful partnerships

“The collaboration between Trinity College and Capitol Squash is powerful and life changing. To see our players work with the young people of Hartford and feel so good about themselves is reinforcing. To see the young people gain confidence and truly believe that they can do something special with their lives makes this program one of the very best things that happens in the Kellner Squash Center.”
